The New York Times today has an in-depth look at Jews and their tattoos. Turns out that whole “you’re not allowed to buried in a Jewish cemetary if you have a tattoo” thing is an urban legend invented by Jewish mothers with an aesthetic aversion to chinese characters and tribal symbols.
